Somewhere, long ago, between pretending to be a Lost Boy from Hook and dreaming of dancing with Lauryn Hill in Sister Act 2, I decided that theatre sounded fun. But it wasn’t until one fateful day in 2003, while scrolling through news updates on NarniaWeb.com, I promised my ever-nerdy soul that I’d be an actor.
Why? Well, I read that Walden Media was filming an adaptation of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and my life path blazed before me. I would be in a Narnia film come hell or... the Lilied Sea (Narnia reference). And there’s still hope for that (heyyy, Netflix. Greta. Love you.) but of course a lot’s changed since then.
After earning a degree in Classical Literature, I studied at a few acting studios in New York, London, and Chicago. Then flew to L.A. to explore this industry. Here I’ve absorbed the truth of Nick Hornby's words: “So it's not about what you do. It can't be, can it? It has to be about how you are, how you love, how you treat yourself and those around you…”
The stories I crave are the ones that remind us how to love.
And how to kick ass.
Figuratively speaking?
Thanks for stopping by. I hope we create together someday.
